Authorised property management

Use Brakan only for property, tenancy, accounting, compliance or related business records that you own, manage or are authorised to process.

Prohibited content and conduct

• Illegal content, malware, exploit code or material intended to facilitate crime.
• Content that infringes intellectual-property, confidentiality, privacy or data-protection rights.
• Personal data collected or uploaded without an appropriate lawful basis.
• Harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation or deceptive communications.
• Security testing without written permission, credential sharing, access-control bypass or attempts to access another organisation.
• Using Brakan as a general file host, bulk-mail platform, payment initiator or unrelated data warehouse.
• Automated activity that damages availability, creates unreasonable load or evades published limits.

Uploads

Uploads are private, quarantined and validated. Malware scanning does not prove content is lawful. Customers remain responsible for what they upload and for ensuring access is limited to appropriate people.

Response

Brakan may quarantine an object, preserve proportionate metadata, restrict the affected feature or organisation, request information, remove content, seek legal advice or comply with a lawful authority request. Restrictions require a recorded human decision except for immediate technical quarantine needed to protect the service.

• Routine administrators do not inspect customer files.
• Exceptional content access requires a documented purpose and audit event.
• A flag is not treated as proof of wrongdoing.
• Customers may challenge a restriction through the complaints process.
