How to report a service problem, privacy concern, prohibited content or disputed restriction.
How to contact Brakan
Email support@mail.brakan.co.uk. Include the account email, relevant organisation, dates and a concise description. Do not email passwords, API keys, full bank credentials or copies of suspected illegal material.
Types of report
- Service or billing complaint.
- Privacy or data-rights request.
- Security vulnerability or suspected account compromise.
- Potentially illegal or prohibited content.
- Appeal against an account, feature or content restriction.
- Accessibility problem.
What happens next
Brakan records the report, limits access to people who need it, reviews metadata first and may request further information. Customer content is not routinely opened. Urgent security issues may be contained before the full review; consequential restrictions receive a recorded human decision.
Appeals
Explain why a decision is wrong and provide non-sensitive supporting information. A person who did not make the original decision should review an appeal where practical. Brakan records the outcome and reason.
External rights
Data-protection concerns may be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Nothing in this process removes statutory, contractual or court rights.
